The regulator may extend the timeline up to 240 days, after which a final decision will be issued.<\/p>\n<p>In a comment to The Block, CBOE representatives clarified that the application is based on VanEck <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/vaneck-submits-new-filing-to-launch-bitcoin-etf\">Form S-1 dated December 30<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"LiTHVgESzQ\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/what-is-a-cryptocurrency-etf\">What is a cryptocurrency ETF?<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; visibility: hidden;\" title=\"\u201cWhat is a cryptocurrency ETF?\u201d \u2014 ForkLog\" src=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/cryptorium\/chto-takoe-bitkoin-etf\/embed#?secret=Ued4Vuzkp3#?secret=LiTHVgESzQ\" data-secret=\"LiTHVgESzQ\" width=\"500\" height=\"282\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The investment firm, which manages about $49 billion in assets, had filed twice but was rejected by the SEC and withdrew the filings.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier fintech startup <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/solidx-accuses-vaneck-of-plagiarising-bitcoin-etf-filing\">SolidX accused VanEck<\/a> of plagiarising the proposal to launch a Bitcoin ETF. The two companies had worked together on creating the exchange-traded fund and filed the joint application in 2018.<\/p>\n<p>In February, the Ontario Securities Commission<a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/canada-registers-bitcoin-etf-ahead-of-the-united-states\"> approved the application<\/a> for launching a Bitcoin ETF managed by Purpose Investments.
