This was driven by strong user demand for flash loans and a rally in the DeFi sector overall.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>AAVE ended 2020 at $88.65. According to <a href=\\\"https:\/\/www.coingecko.com\/en\/defi\\\" target=\\\"_blank\\\" rel=\\\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\\\">CoinGecko<\/a>, in the last seven days the token rose 43.7%. This places AAVE first in momentum among the top-10 DeFi assets. The total value locked (TVL) since the start of 2021 rose from $1.99 billion to $3.89 billion by the time of writing.
