On the Bitcoin wallet of Alexei Navalny’s campaign, transferred 1.16 BTC<\/a> (over $40,300 at the time of writing) since the politician’s return to Russia. From January 17 to 20, 33 incoming transactions were received.<\/p>\n

Over the wallet’s entire existence, more than 653.4 BTC has been transferred to it.<\/p>\n

“The inflows do not correlate with price; they correlate with political events. So now, of course, there is a sizable uptick,” said Leonid Volkov, head of Navalny’s campaign, in a ForkLog commentary.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

On January 17, Alexei Navalny returned to Russia from Germany, where he had spent almost five months undergoing treatment and rehabilitation after poisoning with a substance from the Novichok group. Upon arrival at Sheremetyevo International Airport, he was detained and placed in custody. On January 19, the Khimki City Court sent the politician to pre-trial detention for 30 days.<\/p>\n
