The native token \u2014 CASH \u2014 will be used to pay fees in the new system.<\/p>\n<p>The Compound Chain will be governed by the community through the Ethereum-based COMP token.<\/p>\n<p>The testnet for the new project is slated for early 2021.<\/p>\n<p>As of writing, Compound <a href=\\\"https:\/\/www.defipulse.com\/\\\" target=\\\"_blank\\\" rel=\\\"noopener noreferrer\\\">sits in third place<\/a> in the DeFi Pulse ranking.
