With more than 8.5 million downloads, Truffle has long been an ecosystem favorite for new and experienced developers seeking the tools to expedite the smart contract and front end app development process. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/jyzaKXD6nN\">https:\/\/t.co\/jyzaKXD6nN<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 ConsenSys (@Consensys) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Consensys\/status\/1328715114908966912?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 17, 2020<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Truffle Suite develops tools for building decentralized applications (dapps). The startup previously operated with support from the ConsenSys incubator, and in April 2019 it <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/michaeldelcastillo\/2019\/04\/29\/consensys-spins-off-ethereum-startup-truffle-to-take-blockchain-to-big-business\/?ss=crypto-blockchain&#038;sh=260b580b2e21\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">raised $3 million<\/a> in funding.<\/p>\n<p>ConsenSys positions the acquisition as part of a restructuring plan that began last year.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThe acquisition marks the completion of ConsenSys&#8217;s strategic restructuring, with the formation of two separate entities and the separation of our core technology business from investment activities,\u201d said company representatives. \u201cTruffle will now be wholly owned by ConsenSys, the software-producing company that includes Codefi, Diligence, MetaMask, Infura and Quorum.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Earlier, ConsenSys <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/consensys-and-protocol-labs-partner-to-integrate-ethereum-with-filecoin\">entered into a partnership<\/a> with Protocol Labs, the developer behind the decentralized data storage platform Filecoin.<\/p>\n<p>ConsenSys <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/consensys-to-participate-in-cbdc-testing-with-societe-generale\">will participate<\/a> in CBDC testing with Societe Generale.<\/p>\n<p>Follow ForkLog news on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/forklog\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Facebook<\/a>!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ConsenSys, an Ethereum-focused company, has acquired the Truffle Suite startup.
