On November 15, the Bitcoin Cash network will host a planned hard fork, which, with a high degree of probability, will result in a new chain Bitcoin Cash Node (BCHN). Over the past week it has been dominant, confidently ahead in the number of nodes of the largest Bitcoin Cash ABC.<\/p>\n

In the last seven days, 76% of nodes signaled support for BCHN, while support for ABC was only 1.1%.<\/p>\n

In August this year, Amori Sese announced<\/a> an update to the network. By November 15, all nodes must update the software, otherwise they will remain on the alternate chain.<\/p>\n

The update will introduce a new difficulty adjustment algorithm named ASERT. It is expected that, together with it, the issue of delays in block formation times will disappear.<\/p>\n

Another novelty is the implementation of the Coinbase Rule. It will reject all blocks that do not contribute 8% of the rewards to the Bitcoin Cash development fund. This aspect sparked the main disagreements \u2013 a significant part of the community did not agree with such a proposal, releasing in response the BCHN client without support for this option.<\/p>\n

Earlier, the founder of Bitcoin.com and one of the main supporters of Bitcoin Cash Roger Ver stated<\/a> that on November 15 Bitcoin ABC and its lead developer Amori Sese will part ways with Bitcoin Cash.<\/p>\n

These words imply that the Bitcoin Cash community will fight over which fork will have the right to brand Bitcoin Cash \u2014 Bitcoin ABC or BCHN.<\/p>\n

The Binance exchange has already announced<\/a> that it will support the longer chain and issue coins on a 1:1 basis in the event of the fork. BCH deposits will be suspended on November 15 at around 10:00 UTC, and the fork itself is expected to take place around 12:00 UTC.<\/p>\n
