A tenth of surveyed Japanese residents bought NFT tokens worth more than \u00a51 million (over 700,000 rubles). The figures come from a survey conducted by the local Blockchain Content Association among 2,395 cryptocurrency holders.<\/p>\n

16% of respondents have experience acquiring NFTs.<\/p>\n

The greatest potential for this asset class, according to the survey, lies in gaming\u201442%\u2014and in ticket-purchase services\u201423%. Eighteen percent believe NFTs hold promise in the arts, and 17% see them as financial instruments.<\/p>\n

The most popular gaming apps in which NFT tokens are used were My Crypto Heroes \u2013 22%, Brave Frontier \u2013 13%, and Crypto Spells \u2013 12%.<\/p>\n

Nineteen percent of respondents are attracted by the appeal of applications using NFTs; 16% want transaction simplification; 17% seek price stabilisation. Nine percent advocated making peer-to-peer NFT transfers easier.<\/p>\n

“Most blockchain games in Japan have been launched by startups. However, interest from major gaming companies in these assets points to the potential growth of the NFT market in the future,” say the study authors.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
