The SWIFT <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/us-usa-iran-sanctions\/u-s-not-too-bothered-by-europes-idea-for-iran-trade-as-companies-moving-out-idUSKCN1NH208\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u043e\u0442\u043a\u043b\u044e\u0447\u0438\u043b\u0430<\/a> the central bank and other Iranian financial institutions, making dollar settlements for imports unavailable. This has driven the country&#8217;s interest in cryptocurrencies.<\/p>\n<p>In July this year, power plants in Iran <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/iran-allows-power-plants-to-work-with-cryptocurrency-miners\">\u043f\u043e\u0437\u0432\u043e\u043b\u0438\u043b\u0438<\/a> to operate with mining farms provided they have a permit and &#8216;compliance with the established tariffs&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in September, Iran <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/iran-proposes-paying-for-imported-cars-with-cryptocurrency\">\u043f\u0440\u0435\u0434\u043b\u043e\u0436\u0438\u043b\u0438<\/a> paying for car imports with cryptocurrency.<\/p>\n<p>Last summer, ForkLog reported on plans by the authorities to issue a gold-backed &#8216;cryptocurrency&#8217;.
