Investments in cryptocurrencies dominate the online segment.<\/p>\n<p>The authors of the study concluded that the retail investment market in Russia &#8220;presents an interesting paradox&#8221;:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;Overall, the market is conservative, and a typical investment portfolio is not very diversified: savings accounts predominate with an emphasis on preserving capital. Cryptocurrencies are the fifth most popular product, which indicates investors&#8217; willingness to take on risks associated with speculative and short-term goals.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The survey involved 2,023 investors in Russia.
