It is named Oxygen Orion and ships as version 0.17.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Thirty developers contributed to the release, delivering substantial improvements across virtually all aspects of Monero.<\/p>\n<p>The key upgrade is the Compact Linkable Spontaneous Anonymous Groups (CLSAG) technology, an improved version of MLSAG\u2014the Monero ring-signature scheme. Those who store XMR on hardware wallets should also ensure they have the latest firmware.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/irs-to-task-chainalysis-with-tracking-monero-transactions\">identified<\/a> the winners of a contest to develop tools for tracking transactions on the Monero network that bypass privacy technologies.
