In an interview with <a href=\\\"https:\/\/decrypt.co\/44764\/ethereum-2-0-around-corner-successful-zinken-trial\\\" target=\\\"_blank\\\" rel=\\\"noopener noreferrer\\\">DeCrypt<\/a>, the lead Ethereum 2.0 developer Danny Ryan said.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p>Zinken is to serve as a \\&#8221;dress rehearsal\\&#8221; for the creation of the Ethereum 2.0 genesis block. The previous testnet Spadina <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/ethereum-2-0-developers-to-launch-zinken-testnet-after-spadina-setback\">failed<\/a> largely due to inadequate support for the latest Prysm client version.<\/p>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\\&#8221;The genesis block creation went smoothly. This is what we expected. Client teams will use the results of Zinken for final audits and the latest preparations for the mainnet launch,\\&#8221; Ryan said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p>On October 13, Prysmatic Labs <a href=\\\"https:\/\/medium.com\/prysmatic-labs\/prysm-eth2-client-web-interface-now-live-feb278f4aa15\\\" target=\\\"_blank\\\" rel=\\\"noopener noreferrer\\\">announced<\/a> a web interface for Prysm Eth2.<\/p>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p>As of writing, validator participation stood at 82.9%. The network will run in parallel with the active Medalla testnet.
