On 7 October, &#8216;Block 21 (24.9472\u00b0 N, 118.5979\u00b0 E)&#8217; was put up for auction.<\/p>\n<p>The fragment\u2019s preliminary estimate was $12,000 to $18,000. The auction&#8217;s winner was an anonymous bidder who bid $131,250 for it.<\/p>\n<p>Until then, the most expensive artwork inspired by bitcoin <a href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/bitcoin-based-artwork-smashes-records-sells-for-100k\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">was considered<\/a> Matt Kane&#8217;s &#8216;The Right Place and the Right Time.&#8217; At Christie\u2019s, it sold for $101,593.<\/p>\n<p>Gentilli <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/bitcoin-inspired-art-object-to-be-auctioned-in-new-york\">created<\/a> his collection as part of the Robert Alice project.
