Forbes <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/stevenehrlich\/2020\/09\/23\/visas-crypto-strategy-is-driving-its-next-stage-of-growth\/#1c37bfc05c4c\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reported<\/a> that Kai Sheffield, head of the company&#8217;s cryptocurrency division, said this.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>He noted that, to safely implement this functionality, Visa&#8217;s specialists will have to solve a number of technical challenges.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cWe continue to conduct research in this direction and hope that we will be able to share more in the coming year,\u201d said Sheffield.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>He also spoke about Visa&#8217;s involvement in work on central bank digital currencies.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cWhen launching a central bank digital currency, the central bank will face the same challenges as private companies in developing tokenized stablecoins,\u201d said an expert.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Visa plans to expand the number of participants in the payment network via cryptocurrency companies. The network currently includes about 25 companies, including Coinbase and Circle.
