This was stated by Michael Saylor in an interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2020-09-22\/ceo-says-bitcoin-is-safer-after-moving-firm-s-cash-to-crypto?sref=naTJVz8t\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bloomberg<\/a>.<!--more--><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cMost likely, private companies will be the first, because they lack that inertia. Public companies of our size, then mid-sized firms,\u201d said Michael Saylor.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In August MicroStrategy <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/microstrategy-becomes-the-first-nasdaq-listed-company-to-invest-part-of-its-capital-in-bitcoin\">invested<\/a> about $250 million in cryptocurrency, buying 21,454 BTC. In September the analytics software provider <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/microstrategy-bets-another-175-million-on-bitcoin\">acquired<\/a> an additional 16,796 BTC for $175 million.<\/p>\n<p>Saylor noted that he discussed the decision with ten major shareholders. Most of them supported and approved the bitcoin investment by the company, which has a market value of $1.5 billion.<\/p>\n<p>In his words, he is not a crypto enthusiast, and if the returns on other assets rise, he would not hesitate to abandon bitcoin, but there are no plans to sell in the near term.<\/p>\n<p>Since August 11, when the company announced the purchase of its first batch of cryptocurrency, its price has fallen by about 6%. Saylor did not express concern about this:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cVolatility is not really a reason to sell.
