Arcane Research analysts noted this.<!--more--><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Through its ownership stakes in MicroStrategy (1.51% as of December 31st 2019), the Norwegian Government Pension Fund now indirectly holds 577.6 bitcoin (~57.5 MNOK, 6.3m USD).<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/l4wUkmlYS2\">https:\/\/t.co\/l4wUkmlYS2<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Eq3atvtpeW\">pic.twitter.com\/Eq3atvtpeW<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Arcane Research (@ArcaneResearch) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ArcaneResearch\/status\/1307266725814165511?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 19, 2020<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The world&#8217;s largest sovereign wealth fund, also known as the Oil Fund, became the indirect owner of bitcoin thanks to its 1.51% stake in MicroStrategy.<\/p>\n<p>The Nasdaq-listed provider of analytics software in August <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/microstrategy-becomes-the-first-nasdaq-listed-company-to-invest-part-of-its-capital-in-bitcoin\">bought<\/a> 21,454 BTC (~$250 million at the rate at the time of the deal), becoming the first publicly traded company to put part of its capital into bitcoin.
