This is a new all-time high, according to BTC on Ethereum and DeFi Pulse.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The amount of BTC locked at the moment rose to 87,752 BTC.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/defipulse.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">DefiPulse<\/a>, on September 2 the total value locked in DeFi protocols reached $9.6 billion. After that, a downturn began, coinciding with Bitcoin\u2019s correction to around $10,000.<\/p>\n<p>More than 50% of the coins (52,019 BTC) are locked in WBTC, and their total in the Ethereum network at the time of writing stands at 78,112.<\/p>\n<p>As reported, in early September the price of bitcoins on the Lightning Network <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/value-of-bitcoins-locked-in-the-lightning-network-hits-a-new-high\">reached<\/a> a new all-time high of $12.4 million.
