Instead, Portnoy decided to take up stock trading, streaming the process as part of his own show, Davey Day Trader Global.<\/p>\n<p>The initiative earned him popularity on Wall Street and beyond. Portnoy\u2019s Twitter account is followed by 1.7 million people.<\/p>\n<p>In response to Portnoy\u2019s expressed interest in Bitcoin, Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss accepted the trader\u2019s invitation. Portnoy noted that he wanted to buy all the bitcoins in circulation.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Let\u2019s do it. Portnoy said he bought cryptocurrency at the early stage of his trading career, but later lost access to it. He expressed willingness to try again if the process did not require detailed knowledge of how Bitcoin works.<\/p>\n<p>In a subsequent tweet, Portnoy wondered whether Bitcoin can be hacked. Upon learning that even a supercomputer would take billions of years to do so, Portnoy noted:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cHere\u2019s my first lesson to Bitcoin supporters. Who invented supercomputers? The human brain. Who has the biggest brain? Me.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Earlier, the writer J.K. Rowling asked for help understanding Bitcoin.
