To be among the top 220 holders, one needed approximately $54,500 in tokens over the past three weeks. However, Kristensen and his friends found a way to spend only on trading fees.<\/p>\n

They purchased the necessary amount of TRUMP and opened a short position for the same amount. After the final guest list was announced, they sold the tokens and closed the short positions.<\/p>\n

“We figured participating in the competition wouldn’t be too expensive, we tried it and did it,” noted Kristensen.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The trader first bought tokens in January, an hour after the announcement. According to him, he sold the assets for 30 times the price that same weekend.<\/p>\n

“Then he announced the dinner, at first I ignored it, thinking the competition would be too fierce. Then eight days before the end, I saw the leaderboard. It wasn’t that expensive, maybe $60,000 or $70,000,” added the trader.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Friends wrote a special program that tracked the portfolios of potential guests and predicted the amount of tokens needed to make the list.<\/p>\n

According to Kristensen, when major players entered the competition, the group of five traders decided to buy more TRUMP to secure their positions.<\/p>\n

At the time of the winners’ announcement, the user held about $250,000 in the “presidential meme coin.” He ranked 188th under the nickname Aird.<\/p>\n
