Currently, Bitcoin is the only digital asset meeting this criterion.<\/p>\n<p>A similar bill was passed by the Arizona House of Representatives. However, on May 2, it was <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/arizonas-attempt-to-establish-a-bitcoin-reserve-fails\">vetoed<\/a> by Governor Katie Hobbs. <\/p>\n<p>In Florida, authorities <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/florida-withdraws-bitcoin-reserve-bills-from-consideration\">halted consideration<\/a> of two legislative acts allowing state funds to be invested in digital gold.<\/p>\n<p>Efforts to establish a strategic Bitcoin reserve also <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/montana-house-rejects-bitcoin-reserve-bill-2\">failed<\/a> in states such as <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/oklahoma-senate-rejects-bitcoin-reserve-proposal\">Oklahoma<\/a>, Montana, Pennsylvania, North and South Dakota, and Wyoming.<\/p>\n<p>At the federal level, President Donald Trump in March tasked a <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/white-house-working-group-to-assess-a-national-crypto-reserve\">working group<\/a> on cryptocurrencies to <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/donald-trump-orders-creation-of-a-us-crypto-reserve\">explore the creation<\/a> of a national digital asset reserve.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>New Hampshire has become the first US state to permit its government to invest in cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin.
