His nomination was <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/trump-nominates-paul-atkins-as-sec-chair\">put forward<\/a> by U.S. President Donald Trump and <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/paul-atkins-confirmed-as-sec-chairman-by-senate\">approved<\/a> by the Senate.<\/p>\n<p>Atkins has identified the establishment of a clear and comprehensible regulatory framework for digital assets as his priority. He emphasized his intention to focus on enhancing market transparency and strengthening investor protection.<\/p>\n<p>Atkins&#8217; appointment marks a shift in the SEC&#8217;s direction. His approach differs from that of former head <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/gary-genslers-departure-a-retrospective-on-the-sec-chairs-tenure\">Gary Gensler<\/a>, who often relied on &#8220;regulation by enforcement.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>According to Bloomberg analyst Eric Balchunas, there are 72 applications under review at the SEC for launching ETFs based on various altcoins.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">There are now 72 crypto-related ETFs sitting with the SEC awaiting approval to list or list options.
