Over three months, companies increased their reserves by 95,431 BTC (to approximately $56.7 billion).<\/p>\n<p>In the first quarter, at least 12 public companies invested in Bitcoin for the first time.<\/p>\n<p>Among the new holders, the Hong Kong construction firm <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/intesa-sanpaolo-italys-largest-bank-buys-11-btc\">Ming Shing<\/a> acquired the largest number of coins. It purchased 833 BTC through its subsidiary Lead Benefit: 500 BTC in January and 333 BTC in February.<\/p>\n<p>Another new member of the &#8220;Bitcoin club&#8221; is the public streaming platform Rumble, which acquired 188 BTC in March.<\/p>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/telegram.org\/js\/telegram-widget.js?22\" data-telegram-post=\"forklog\/43224\" data-width=\"100%\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Bitwise noted that the total number of public companies holding digital gold increased to 79.<\/p>\n<p>At the time of writing, the leading cryptocurrency is trading at $85,835 (+1.4% over the past day), according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coingecko.com\/en\/coins\/bitcoin\">CoinGecko<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>On April 14, the company Metaplanet <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/metaplanet-ascends-to-ninth-largest-bitcoin-holder\">purchased<\/a> 319 BTC for $26.52 million, becoming the ninth-largest Bitcoin holder.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The volume of the leading cryptocurrency on the balance sheets of public companies rose by 16% in the first quarter of 2025, according to analysts at Bitwise.
