These include proposals for in-kind redemptions for Fidelity funds and a request for staking approval for an Ethereum-ETF from 21Shares.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cNo surprise, it will just take some time. The new SEC Chairman hasn\u2019t even taken office yet,\u201d Geraci added.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Bloomberg exchange analyst James Seyffart described the regulator&#8217;s move as \u201cexpected\u201d and in line with standard procedures. He also linked it to the absence of a permanent SEC head\u2014Paul Atkins, <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/trump-nominates-paul-atkins-as-sec-chair\">nominated<\/a> by President Donald Trump for the position, has yet to be considered by Congress.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-conversation=\"none\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Yes, the SEC just punted on a bunch of alt coin ETF filings including Litecoin, Solana, XRP &#038; DOGE. It&#8217;s expected as this is standard procedure &#038; Atkins hasn&#8217;t even been confirmed yet. This doesn&#8217;t change our (relatively high) odds of approval. Note that the final deadlines won\u2019t be until October,\u201d the expert emphasized.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In February, Seyffart and his colleague Eric Balchunas <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/experts-see-high-chances-for-approval-of-etfs-based-on-ltc-sol-xrp-and-doge\">estimated the likelihood<\/a> of Litecoin-ETF registration at 90%, and products based on Dogecoin at 75%. They considered the chances for Solana (70%) and XRP (65%) to be lower.<\/p>\n<p>On March 11, asset manager Franklin Templeton joined those awaiting approval for exchange-traded products based on Ripple&#8217;s coin. The company <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sec.gov\/Archives\/edgar\/data\/2059438\/000113743925000181\/s1.htm\">filed<\/a> an S-1 form to launch the Franklin XRP Trust.<\/p>\n<p>As reported in January 2024, the SEC <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/sec-approves-all-11-spot-bitcoin-etf-applications\">opened<\/a> the door for trading spot Bitcoin-ETFs. As of February 27, 2025, the total inflow into these products <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/bitcoin-etf-outflows-near-3-billion\">amounted to $37.1 billion<\/a>, although the figure has declined in recent days.<\/p>\n<p>Standard Chartered <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/standard-chartered-predicts-continued-outflows-from-bitcoin-etfs\">forecasted<\/a> continued outflows from BTC-ETFs.
