OpenAI plans to charge up to $20,000 a month for specialized AI agents, according to information shared with investors, as reported by The Information<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The publication indicates that the startup intends to launch several “agent” products designed for various applications, such as software development or sorting sales proposals.<\/p>\n

An agent described as a “high-income knowledge worker” will cost $2,000 a month. The price for a software developer assistant will be $10,000.<\/p>\n

The most expensive assistant, priced at $20,000, is intended to support “PhD-level research,” The Information reports. The company believes that AI assistants will offer significant value and justify their cost.<\/p>\n

The launch timeline for the new service and potential clients remain unknown. Earlier, SoftBank committed to spending $3 billion on OpenAI products in 2025.<\/p>\n

At the time of writing, the most expensive ChatGPT Pro subscription costs<\/a> $200 a month. It provides unlimited access to all the startup’s neural networks and their features, including an enhanced voice mode and a reasoning-oriented AI model o1.<\/p>\n

Last year, the company’s losses reached<\/a> $5 billion due to high expenses for training and maintaining artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n
