{"id":20297,"date":"2025-01-14T13:03:47","date_gmt":"2025-01-14T11:03:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/blackrock-says-bitcoin-adoption-outpaces-the-internet-and-mobile-phones\/"},"modified":"2025-01-14T13:03:47","modified_gmt":"2025-01-14T11:03:47","slug":"blackrock-says-bitcoin-adoption-outpaces-the-internet-and-mobile-phones","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/blackrock-says-bitcoin-adoption-outpaces-the-internet-and-mobile-phones\/","title":{"rendered":"BlackRock says bitcoin adoption outpaces the internet and mobile phones"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Since bitcoin\u2019s launch in 2009, its adoption has outpaced that of the internet and mobile phones, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.blackrock.com\/ca\/investors\/en\/market-insights\/bitcoin-investing\">BlackRock<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It took the first cryptocurrency 12 years to reach 300 million users, versus 15 for the internet and 21 for mobile phones.<\/p>\n<p>Bitcoin\u2019s faster trajectory has been driven by:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>demographics\u2014the young are considered \u201cdigital native\u201d, which makes them more predisposed to adopt the first cryptocurrency than <a href=\"https:\/\/ru.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/%D0%9F%D0%BE%D0%BA%D0%BE%D0%BB%D0%B5%D0%BD%D0%B8%D0%B5_X\">Generation X<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/ru.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/%D0%9F%D0%BE%D0%BA%D0%BE%D0%BB%D0%B5%D0%BD%D0%B8%D0%B5_%D0%B1%D1%8D%D0%B1%D0%B8-%D0%B1%D1%83%D0%BC%D0%B5%D1%80%D0%BE%D0%B2\">baby boomers<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>global shifts\u2014rising inflation expectations, political discord, and banking and fiscal problems;<\/li>\n<li>the transformation of the global financial system\u2014lower barriers to access and new use cases for digital gold.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>According to BlackRock, bitcoin ETFs marked an important milestone for cryptocurrencies and traditional markets, <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/sec-approves-all-11-spot-bitcoin-etf-applications\">opening access to the asset<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, CF Benchmarks experts <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/investment-advisers-to-dominate-crypto-etfs-by-2025-says-cf-benchmarks\">suggested<\/a> that in 2025 investment advisers will increase their positions in exchange-traded funds based on digital gold and Ethereum by more than 50%.<\/p>\n<p>In 2024, issuers of BTC ETFs and public companies <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/k33-analysts-predict-bitcoin-bull-run-peak-date\">purchased 859,454 BTC<\/a>, according to K33 Research.
