They take effect on 12 January.<\/p>\n<p>According to the notice, clients will be unable to open accounts, trade cryptocurrencies or use other products. The firm said the move reflects its desire to operate \u201cin full compliance with all applicable rules and regulations\u201d.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cIn connection with recent developments on the part of Indian regulatory authorities and as a continuation of previously introduced restrictions [\u2026], Indian users will temporarily be unable to open new trades or access any products on the platform,\u201d the notice says.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Withdrawals are unaffected. Bybit said it plans to complete registration as a virtual-asset service provider in India.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the Securities Commission Malaysia <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/malaysia-prohibits-bybits-operations\">accused<\/a> the bitcoin exchange of lacking a licence and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sc.com.my\/resources\/media\/media-release\/sc-takes-enforcement-action-against-bybit-for-illegally-operating-dax-in-malaysia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ordered<\/a> it to halt all operations by 25 December 2024.<\/p>\n<p>In August, Bybit <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/bybit-to-cease-operations-in-france\">said it would cease operations<\/a> in France.
