According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/5c9ca1f6-b6fe-4c96-84e2-38e3eee90f3b\">Financial Times<\/a>, investors from the previous round gained access to the new investments in xAI.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In November, media reported on a forthcoming deal valuing the company at $50 billion. Musk then announced plans to double the number of chips to 200,000. Now, media <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/technology\/artificial-intelligence\/musks-xai-plans-massive-expansion-ai-supercomputer-memphis-2024-12-04\/\">reports<\/a> his intention to deploy at least one million processors.<\/p>\n<p>This rapid expansion may face criticism from environmentalists. In August, environmental advocates <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/elon-musks-xai-faces-environmental-allegations-in-memphis\">accused<\/a> the AI startup of exacerbating environmental issues in Memphis, Tennessee.
