According to <a href=\"https:\/\/polymarket.com\/profile\/0x56687bf447db6ffa42ffe2204a05edaa20f55839\">Polymarket<\/a>, his net profit was approximately $19 million.<\/p>\n<p>At the time of writing, no official statement had been issued by the betting platform or ANJ.<\/p>\n<p>Raymond noted that he managed to place a bet on Polymarket despite the restrictions:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;We can no longer place bets. [Authorities] are wishfully thinking, as I managed to place one through a VPN.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In the months leading up to the U.S. presidential election, activity on the platform surged.
