{"id":18654,"date":"2024-11-17T11:23:58","date_gmt":"2024-11-17T09:23:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/vaneck-predicts-high-likelihood-of-solana-etf-approval-by-2025\/"},"modified":"2024-11-17T11:23:58","modified_gmt":"2024-11-17T09:23:58","slug":"vaneck-predicts-high-likelihood-of-solana-etf-approval-by-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/vaneck-predicts-high-likelihood-of-solana-etf-approval-by-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"VanEck Predicts High Likelihood of Solana-ETF Approval by 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is expected to approve spot Solana-ETFs by the end of 2025, according to Matthew Sigel, head of digital asset research at VanEck, in a comment to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/6abb3096-e740-4f31-abb5-c0be737f4ae2\">Financial Times<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\n<cite>\u201cI think the chances of Solana-ETF approval by the end of next year are extremely high,\u201d he said.<\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Sigel suggested that changes in SEC leadership could create opportunities for more innovation in the crypto industry and an increase in digital asset-based exchange-traded funds.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\n<cite>\u201cWe expect the SEC to approve more crypto products than in the past four years,\u201d the expert added.<\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>According to <span data-descr=\"Chief Investment Officer\" class=\"old_tooltip\">CIO<\/span> of Bitwise, Matt Hougan, the U.S. presidential elections were a \u201chuge win for cryptocurrencies,\u201d which will \u201ccompletely change the game.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\n<cite>\u201cFor the past four years, the crypto industry has been working with one hand, maybe two hands, tied behind its back. It faced a hostile SEC, significant regulatory uncertainty, and limited access to mainstream banking services. Imagine what will happen when the headwinds subside,\u201d he stated.<\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Hougan suggested that users will see \u201can explosion of crypto applications and mass adoption that will significantly impact the real world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In June, VanEck <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/vaneck-files-for-solana-etf-boosting-sol-price\">filed an application<\/a> with the SEC to launch a spot Solana-ETF. In July, Sigel <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/vaneck-ties-solana-etf-launch-to-us-election-outcomes\">stated<\/a> that the chances of this exchange-traded fund&#8217;s approval depend on the outcome of the U.S. presidential elections.<\/p>\n<p>In September, Bitwise filed an application with the SEC to launch a spot XRP-ETF. In November, Swiss company 21Shares joined the asset manager.
