The 86-year-old director Ridley Scott, known for films such as “Gladiator,” “Alien,” and “Blade Runner,” has revised his stance on AI. He shared his new perspective in an interview with The New York Times<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Scott now sees AI as a means to reduce production costs and unlock new creative possibilities in animation. <\/p>\n

“You can accomplish in a week what would take 10 people 10 weeks,” Scott remarked.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

According to the director, AI will not aid in creating new jobs, except for high-level specialists. People will need to retrain to find employment, which is challenging for the average person.<\/p>\n

In 2023, Scott likened<\/a> artificial intelligence to a weapon of mass destruction, calling it a technological hydrogen bomb. <\/p>\n
