At the beginning of 2024, the metric stood at 32.7%, reports <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theblock.co\/post\/324641\/eth-to-btc-market-cap-ratio-declines-to-24-52-its-lowest-level-since-april-2021\">The Block<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This indicator reflects investor preferences and capital flows between the two largest assets by market value in the cryptocurrency market.<\/p>\n<p>The growing dominance of digital gold is evidenced by the demand for ETFs.<\/p>\n<p>According to SoSoValue, cumulative inflows into Bitcoin-based products <a href=\"https:\/\/sosovalue.com\/assets\/etf\/us-btc-spot\">have reached $23.5 billion<\/a>, while those for Ethereum counterparts remain negative (<a href=\"https:\/\/sosovalue.com\/assets\/etf\/us-eth-spot\">-$554.7 million<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>The Block suggests that the positioning of the first cryptocurrency as &#8220;digital gold&#8221; aligns more closely with traditional investment frameworks, making the asset more &#8220;understandable&#8221; for institutions.
