Successful features will be added to ChatGPT in the future.<\/p>\n<p>In June, OpenAI and TIME entered a multi-year partnership, granting the AI startup access to current content and over 100 years of the magazine&#8217;s archives.<\/p>\n<p>AI models are often criticized for stealing copyrighted content.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, OpenAI faced several lawsuits over alleged copyright violations. On June 27, the Center for Investigative Reporting <a href=\"https:\/\/revealnews.org\/press\/cir-sues-openai\/\">filed<\/a> claims against the company and Microsoft.<\/p>\n<p>In December 2023, The New York Times <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/openai-accuses-new-york-times-of-hacking-chatgpt\">filed<\/a> a lawsuit against the AI startup for intellectual property violations.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Lawsuit Against Anthropic<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>On August 19, a class-action <a href=\"https:\/\/fingfx.thomsonreuters.com\/gfx\/legaldocs\/gdvzmggwjpw\/ANTHROPIC%20AUTHOR%20COPYRIGHT%20LAWSUIT%20complaint.pdf\">lawsuit<\/a> was filed against the AI startup Anthropic in a federal court in California over copyright infringement.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cAnthropic has built a multi-billion dollar business by stealing hundreds of thousands of copyrighted books,\u201d stated the three authors of the document.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Andrea Bartz, Charles Graeber, and Kirk Wallace Johnson claim that a crucial component of the company&#8217;s business model and its flagship family of large language models, Claude, is \u201clarge-scale theft of copyrighted works.\u201d According to the lawsuit, the firm downloaded pirated versions of works, made copies, and uploaded them into its models.<\/p>\n<p>In June, Anthropic introduced Claude 3.5 Sonnet\u2014an AI model that \u201coutperforms competitors and Claude 3 Opus across a wide range of tests.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>OpenAI will display content from Vogue, The New Yorker, Wired, and other publications through a partnership with Cond\u00e9 Nast.
