[\u2026] This will serve as the core for a strategic national reserve,\u201d Trump emphasized.<\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The Republican candidate promised to end the war on digital assets if elected. According to him, the US will become the cryptocurrency capital of the world.<\/p>\n<p>Trump expressed respect for the bitcoin community and compared the crypto industry to the steel industry 100 years ago. He also supported the mining and stablecoin sectors.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\n<cite>\u201cIf we do not embrace cryptocurrency and bitcoin technology, China and other countries will. They will dominate, and we cannot allow China to dominate,\u201d the politician said.<\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Among other things, he confirmed his <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/donald-trump-advocates-for-us-leadership-in-cryptocurrency-industry\">previous promises<\/a> to commute the sentence of Silk Road founder Ross Ulbricht and release him, as well as to prevent the creation of a CBDC.<\/p>\n<p>In Trump&#8217;s view, \u201cone day\u201d bitcoin will surpass gold and silver in market capitalization, as it is a \u201cmiracle of technology, cooperation, and human achievement.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Following the politician&#8217;s announcement of his intention to fire Gensler on his first day in office, the audience began to applaud and chant \u201cTrump!\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\n<cite>\u201cI didn\u2019t know he was so unpopular,\u201d the presidential candidate responded.<\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>He promised to appoint someone as SEC head who would not \u201cblock the future of the US.\u201d Trump also intends to create an advisory council on bitcoin and cryptocurrencies after taking office.<\/p>\n<p>Amid the speech, bitcoin fell to $66,650 but soon slightly recovered.
