This milestone was achieved following the addition of support for Solana.<\/p>\n<p>Over the past month, the figure has risen from $270 million to over $531.9 million. The increase in PYUSD supply followed its expansion to the Solana network in May. Currently, one in every four tokens is on this blockchain.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/1-1097.webp\" alt=\"1-1097\" class=\"wp-image-236577\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Data: DeFi Llama.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/coinmarketcap.com\/currencies\/paypal-usd\/\">CoinMarketCap<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coingecko.com\/en\/coins\/paypal-usd\">CoinGecko<\/a> estimate PYUSD&#8217;s capitalisation at $399 million. On the latter platform, the asset ranks 12th in the &#8220;stablecoins&#8221; category.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theblock.co\/post\/304200\/paypal-stablecoin-market-cap-500-million-usd-solana\">The Block<\/a>, the integration of the token into DeFi protocols such as Curve and Frax, as well as its listing on centralised platforms, has driven the growth in total market value.<\/p>\n<p>In April, PayPal <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/paypal-expands-pyusd-for-international-transactions\">announced<\/a> the creation of the Xoom cross-border payments and transfers service based on PYUSD.<\/p>\n<p>The launch of PayPal&#8217;s &#8220;stablecoin&#8221; raised concerns in the US Congress due to the lack of a regulatory framework for such assets.
