{"id":13510,"date":"2024-05-14T20:20:21","date_gmt":"2024-05-14T17:20:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/wisconsin-state-investment-board-reveals-163-million-etf-holdings\/"},"modified":"2024-05-14T20:20:21","modified_gmt":"2024-05-14T17:20:21","slug":"wisconsin-state-investment-board-reveals-163-million-etf-holdings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/wisconsin-state-investment-board-reveals-163-million-etf-holdings\/","title":{"rendered":"Wisconsin State Investment Board Reveals $163 Million ETF Holdings"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>According to a <span data-descr=\"U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission\" class=\"old_tooltip\">SEC<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sec.gov\/Archives\/edgar\/data\/854157\/000106299324010116\/xslForm13F_X02\/form13fInfoTable.xml\">filing<\/a>, the Wisconsin State Investment Board (SWIB) held shares in spot bitcoin ETFs totaling $163 million as of the end of March.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The assets in the portfolio include:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>2,450,400 shares of BlackRock&#8217;s IBIT valued at approximately $99.1 million;<\/li>\n<li>1,013,000 shares of Grayscale&#8217;s GBTC (~$63.7 million);<\/li>\n<li>securities of various cryptocurrency firms, including Coinbase, Marathon Digital, Riot Platforms, Block, Cipher Mining, CleanSpark, and MicroStrategy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Founded in 1951, the organization manages investments for public pension and other trust funds.<\/p>\n<p>Bloomberg analyst Eric Balchunas noted on X that SWIB&#8217;s interest in this new asset class emerged earlier than expected.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Wow, a state pension bought <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%24IBIT&#038;src=ctag&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">$IBIT<\/a> in first quarter. Normally you don&#8217;t get these big fish institutions in the 13Fs for a year or so (when the ETF gets more liquidity) but as we&#8217;ve seen these are no ordinary launches.
