The project ranks second on <a href=\"https:\/\/defillama.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">DeFi Llama<\/a>, behind only Lido.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The liquid restaking niche is also expanding fast, with platforms offering extra yield and broader capital efficiency. Using such protocols typically means earning EigenLayer points and other scores that may increase the odds of an airdrop.<\/p>\n<p>One such project is Swell Network. CoinGecko experts <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coingecko.com\/learn\/swell-network-airdrop-pearls#step-9-refer-others\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">offered tips<\/a> on how best to prepare for an upcoming governance-token distribution.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-text-wrappers-keypoints article_keypoints\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Swell Network is an Ethereum staking protocol that leverages EigenLayer to provide liquidity and rewards for deposited ETH.<\/li>\n<li>In a funding round led by Framework Ventures and IOSG Ventures, the project raised $3.75m.<\/li>\n<li>Users can join Swell\u2019s Voyage programme to earn \u2018pearls\u2019 (Pearls), which can later be exchanged for SWELL tokens.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Swell and \u2018pearls\u2019<\/h2>\n<p>Swell Network is a non-custodial, decentralised Ethereum protocol that boosts liquidity and offers incentives for staking cryptoassets.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Users can earn passive income by depositing ETH and receiving an equivalent amount of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coingecko.com\/en\/coins\/sweth\">swETH<\/a>, which can be deployed across other DeFi applications.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The protocol uses EigenLayer to allocate stakeable ETH across the network of actively validated services (AVS). Restaking enables users to earn additional rewards on top of the standard income from staking the second-largest cryptocurrency.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>To improve transparency and security, the Swell team integrated Chainlink\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/chain.link\/education-hub\/proof-of-reserves\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Proof-of-Reserves<\/a>. This lets users verify in near real time whether swETH is backed by ETH reserves on the <span data-descr=\"Ethereum consensus layer\" class=\"old_tooltip\">Beacon Chain<\/span>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Swell has also joined the BUILD programme, significantly strengthening the platform\u2019s security and reliability through advanced services and professional support from Chainlink.<\/p>\n<p>Among other integrations are strategic partnerships with Ethena, Pendle and EigenPie. This allows users to deposit various assets, including <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/delta%e2%80%91neutral-synthetic-dollars-why-the-usde-stablecoin-matters\">USDe<\/a>, rswETH and mwbETH respectively, further diversifying the project\u2019s offering.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In addition, depositing funds into the layer-2 contract enables users to earn different points and qualify for airdrops from both Swell and L2 projects such as ION Protocol, Ambient Finance and Brahma Finance.<\/p>\n<p>In March 2022 Swell Network <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptorank.io\/ico\/swell-network\">raised $3.75m<\/a>. The seed round was led by Framework Ventures. Other participants included IOSG Ventures, Maven 11 Capital and other venture investors.<\/p>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.swellnetwork.io\/swell\/governance-and-tokenomics\/swell-token\">project documentation<\/a>, Swell will launch a native token of the same name. SWELL will be used for protocol governance and to incentivise ecosystem growth.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The final tokenomics have yet to be unveiled. It is known, however, that at least 7% of the supply will be allocated to an airdrop.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Users can join The Voyage programme and earn rewards in the form of \u2018pearls\u2019.
