After this date, all trades will be automatically closed. <\/p>\n<p>Withdrawals will remain open until the complete removal of the coin. Once the deadline passes, any XMR remaining in accounts will be converted to Bitcoin. <\/p>\n<p>Kraken issued a statement ahead of the European Union&#8217;s impending introduction of a new package of measures aimed at combating money laundering and terrorism financing, which will tighten existing regulations for the crypto industry. <\/p>\n<p>In January 2024, authorities <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/eu-to-mandate-crypto-firms-to-verify-clients-for-transactions-over-e1000\">provisionally agreed<\/a> on the measures. By mid-2025, the EU will establish a new anti-money laundering regulator \u2014 the <span data-descr=\"Anti-money Laundering Authority\" class=\"old_tooltip\">AMLA<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>In February, the exchange Binance also <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/monero-price-drops-15-following-binance-delisting-announcement\">announced<\/a> the delisting of Monero alongside Aragon (ANT), Multichain (MULTI), and Vai (VAI).
