Bitmain to deploy 56,000 miners with partners in Georgia
Bitmain will deploy 56,000 miners at a 200 MW Georgia data centre by October 2022, with Bit5ive and ISW Holdings as partners. The first 20 MW phase will be commissioned by October. Based on the parameters, the latest AntMiner S19 with around 100 TH/s is expected, and the joint venture will reach 5.6 EH/s. Bitmain will provide ASIC miners; Bit5ive will handle power, hosting and project management; ISW Holdings will provide financing. The agreement runs five years, costing $62 million, with ISW Holdings having already invested $6 million. Earlier in August, HIVE Blockchain Technologies ordered 1,800 Antminer S19j Pro miners from Bitmain. Marathon Digital Holdings previously purchased 30,000 similar devices.
