NEAR Launches Private Cross-Chain Transactions

NEAR has introduced Universal Send for private cross-chain payments.

NEAR has introduced Universal Send, a feature for private cross-chain payments. It enables the transfer of funds in any asset and across any network without the manual use of bridges: the system automatically handles routing and exchange through the NEAR Intents infrastructure. According to Bankless, its total volume has exceeded $18 billion. NEAR described Universal Send as an attempt to bring the Zcash private payment model into an inter-network environment.
