MegaETH Team Announces Token Launch Date

MegaETH sets MEGA token launch for April 30.

L2 project MegaETH has set the date for the launch of the MEGA token. The TGE is scheduled for April 30.

The team announced the timeline immediately after achieving their goal of launching 10 applications on the mainnet. These include the lending service Cap, the exchange Kumbaya, the gaming project ShowDown, and others. 

Following the announcement, the price of the MEGA token in the pre-market fell from $0.2 to $0.16.

Not all participants in the rewards program will receive the full amount of coins on the release day. Only Sonar Sale users are eligible for a 100% unlock. 

MegaETH is positioned as a “real-time blockchain,” aiming for a throughput of 100,000 TPS and nearly instant transaction finality. However, current daily averages are around 30 TPS. 

In October 2025, the team conducted an ICO, raising $1.39 billion from the token sale. Demand significantly exceeded supply: 11,534 wallets contributed $300 million against a cap of $50 million. The oversubscription was 27 times. 

In February 2026, MegaETH developers launched the public mainnet.
