Flat Earthers Cite AI Fakes to ‘Expose’ Artemis-2 Mission

Flat Earthers use AI fakes to claim NASA faked Artemis-2 footage.

Proponents of the flat Earth theory are using AI-generated videos to claim that NASA fabricated footage recorded by astronauts on the Artemis-2 mission, according to Futurism.

For decades, conspiracy theorists have attempted to prove that NASA’s lunar missions, starting in 1969, were faked. The latest mission is no exception.

This time, skeptics are pointing to fake videos created with artificial intelligence as “evidence” for their claims.

One such video shows a team of four people suspended on safety harnesses in front of a large green screen. The video features glitches in the overlay text, missing limbs, and an incorrect number of fingers on some hands.

Another video shows a shot from inside the spacecraft. The camera captures four astronauts, raising the question: who is operating the camera?

Disinformation expert Tal Hagin emphasized that the content was created using AI.

The scale of the trend is significant. A search for Artemis leaks on X reveals the widespread nature of the trend — from footage of a fake moon hanging in front of a green screen to claims that NASA used AI and computer graphics to deceive the global community.

On Facebook, the situation is similar — flat Earth supporters refer to AI-generated materials to prove the space mission was faked.

Back in 2024, fraudsters used deepfake technology to swap faces with attractive women during video calls, deceiving smitten men into “investing” in cryptocurrencies.
